Our Cabin Trip

We spent a week at the cabin with Mom, Dad, Kait & Chris (plus Amanda & Shannon on the weekend). It was really fun to have a whole week together - I think the boys decided that Daddy should be w/ them everyday/allday from now on after this trip : ) Here are some pictures from the week - sorry there aren't more of the adults, but most of them included swimsuits and I figured we'd spare everyone that!

Connor turned 4 while we were there and was spoiled the whole week! Here are a few pictures from his party... no laughing at the cake!

Chef Connor

Here are his new fireman boots... this was the present he'd been wishing for the most : )

There was lots of fishing going on... here are the boys checking out Brian's bass. I think Ty needs to get a LITTLE closer!!

Here is Brian w/ the big bass... he was pretty happy - it was 5.3 lbs which is bigger than any bass he's caught up here so far.

Connor fished lots everyday too

Grandpa decided to make the kids a deluxe sandbox while he was up there. Connor got to help stain it... and yes he is wearing a leapord pillowcase to cover his clothes. Whatever works!!

The boys had a great time on their makeshift raft. The guys were putting the dock in and we decided to let them have a little island of their own.

Floating

Apparently Ty got tuckered out on the big paddleboat ride. He did this a couple times on the trip : )

Ty with his bucket

Connor spent lots of time along the shore collecting rocks, minnows etc...

Little Cousins

We got to have little Adriana & Rochelle for a visit a few weeks ago... here are some pictures of the kids enjoying their cousins...

The buddies after their mini birthday party. Adriana was really cute always wanting to sit by her cousin and keep up w/ the big guys : )

We went to the park and the kids thought the bridge was pretty neat

Checking out some baby ducks

Peeking

I love how she's standing - such a natural girl : )

The little guys

The big kids spent lots of time driving the hummer w/ Adriana close behind : )

Ty sat on the porch and kept Phoebe (the girls dog) company while she was taking a break in her kennel.

Life jackets... on dry land

Connor decided that he and Ty needed to try out life jackets at home the other day. Ty went along with it but didn't seem to understand the master plan at first.

Here's Ty looking a little bewildered and w/ his straps needing a little adjustment : )

Apparently Connor found wearing the life jacket very invigorating. Major power walk going on! Ty tagged along for the trip down the driveway.

Felt bad about this picture. I asked Connor to swing his arms a little less so I could get a picture w/o all the blur. Here he is w/ his arms pinned to his sides... I totally wrecked the moment... should have left him having fun. Ty was still trudging along.

Here they are sacked out after the big trip down the driveway... apparently Ty was tuckered out by the whole thing!

Gramma's Visit

Gramma Chris and the boys... Connor and Squirmy

Our Saturday project... I've been wanting to get edging around the creek and was very slowly puttering w/ it, but Saturday Chris and Brian did a much better job getting things done! Still have a little left to do before we can put in wood chips, but it's getting there! Chris also helped me weed along the fence line. Weeding was actually fun w/ someone to talk to : ) Thanks for all your help!

Suspicious swinger... doesn't he look like he's up to something?

Ty loves swinging on the big kid swing, but isn't totally predictable yet. He loves to lay back in it like he's going to fall off. Here he's getting a little push.

I got to go to a few garage sales Saturday morning, kid free! I snuck out before anyone was up and ended up getting a few things including these plants for $3.75 each.

Anyone know the name of the above flowers? They didn't have the tag w/ them, but liked them anyways.

By Request...

Here is a picture of how baby & I are growing... seems like we excel at this!! (Please excuse the messy hair... end of the day on Sunday) The baby has become a good little kicker lately - Connor got to feel this for the first time on Sunday. He was pretty thrilled and seems to think I can get the baby to do this on command : )

Amanda's graduation

Some pics from Amanda's open house... The weather was perfect during the party, but we had severe storm warnings about 1/2 hour after everyone left... whew!!

Shannon & Amanda

One of the cakes... Connor spent a good portion of the night before the party "visiting" the cake. He sat by himself in the dining room just looking at it for about 1/2 hour at a time just thinking about when he'd get to try it. I checked on him once and he said "I'm ready"... like that's all we were waiting for. I was VERY glad he didn't give into the temptation to dig into either cake early!

Decorations at the end of the day

Lots of buddies at the party... these were all of the boy cousins on Mom's side of the family (together for the 1st time)

After the big cousin picture, Ty had a little photo session of his own

For some reason Ty sat in this position for a LONG time while about 10 of us adults took pictures. I think he was tired and thinking of laying down - but got stuck in this position and couldn't seem to figure out what to do next

A few of us crashed after the party

Memorial Day Weekend

We stayed home over Memorial Day and got lots of work done on the yard and house. Ty had a cold over the weekend, but still had some fun outside... including his first lawn mower rides. Brian had planned on the boys taking turns riding with him, but Ty cried so hard when it wasn't his turn that he decided he could manage w/ both boys on his lap. Not sure what we'll do when there is a 3rd little guy... Daddy's lap is getting pretty full!

The mowing crew

Ty fell asleep after about 20 minutes both days he rode : )

Catching a ride in the wheelbarrow... and showing off his goofy crooked smile

I got the boys lawn chairs at a garage sale for $1. Here they are trying them out.

Mr. Stinker. He decided it was really cool to pull the leaves off my plant and tear them up.
